The magic continues! Learn the step-by-step creation of realistic looking marble and high-end granite finishes that will truly "fool the eye"! This class is for the installer already certified in the applications of the Granicrete/Auratops Countertop Overlay Systems. Add these amazing coloring techniques to your repertoire to add more realism to your granite and marble finishes. Although the application of the concrete system is the same, the AuraStone basecoat system is slightly different in texture and absorbency than the Granicrete system with the addition of a new colorant system and unique painting techniques.
You will learn: The installer will be required to prep their sample boards prior to class(*) so that class time can be used productively to learn coloring techniques. Our classroom is reserved for students to prep their sample boards on the Wednesday before the workshop, 9:00am-4:00pm. This time can also be spent in sharing previously completed sample boards and networking, so please come prepared to share. *The installer is welcome to audit the surface prep and application workshop being held for students new to the product lines on Wednesday, August 4 or November 10, during which time the boards will be prepped. Otherwise, Carol is available to help you gather supplies and prep your boards in the studio, or you will be provided with the materials prior to class to prep your boards on your own. Class time will be spent in learning six color formulas on 12"x16" sample boards on MDF. Lunch, snacks, all necessary tools and supplies are included for use in class.
